During an interview with Walt Mossberg at Code Conference nowadays,Sundar Pichai spent some time talking about the future of the Nexus line of smartphones. He mentioned that Google would put “more thought” into them, and upon further questioning added that Google plans to add more features atop stock Android to compose the Nexus experience better. He also said that Google, or which already works closely in tandem with OEMs,would be “more opinionated” about the design of the phones.
