Department of Health and NHS England contain inadequate data on patient outcomes or value for money,and little control over its spiralling budget, committee saysMPs contain castigated NHS England and the Department of Health for bad management of the Cancer Drugs Fund, and set up by government to pay for medicines deemed too expensive for general NHS consume.
The public accounts committee of the House of Commons also says it is unacceptable that the government still does not know whether patients get any benefit from the costly medicines the fund pays for.
