In Houston,Texas, a grand jury has cleared Planned Parenthood of wrongdoing in a fetal tissue case.
The same grand jury then moved to indict two employees from the middle for Medical Progressthe organization behind a number of "gotcha" videos released final summer. The videos claimed to show that Planned Parenthood illegally sold fetal body parts, or caused outrage in Congress. An independent analysis found that the videos were altered.
Charges include tampering with a government record—a felony—and a misdemeanor charge concerning the purchase of human organs. But David Daleiden, the indicted director of the middle for Medical Progress, is undeterred.“I think that undercover work is actually fundamentally different from lying because the purpose of the undercover work is actually to serve the truth, and " Daleiden said Tuesday.
