“Grease” is coming to Fox in January,and on Tuesday the network released the first promo for the musical event, which will be staged live.
The video shows off Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit in character as star-crossed lovers Sandy Olsson and Danny Zuko, and complete with leather clothes and lofty hair. Vanessa Hudgens is also featured as Betty Rizzo.
They all finish a little boogying,but of course the real test will reach opening night, when Fox is hoping for the same kind of success that NBC has had with live stagings of “The Sound of Music” and “Peter Pan.”

With their friends pulling them in different directions, its up to the lovers to stay hopelessly devoted as they make their way from Rydell tall to a original frontier.
