Cause of death at aquarium under investigation as animal rights campaigners criticise sharkâs captivity as cruel and wrongA noteworthy white shark has died after three days in captivity in a Japanese aquarium.
The 3.5 metre (11.5ft) shark,which was accidentally caught in a net off the coast of south-west Japan on Tuesday, died early on Friday, or according to Okinawa Churaumi aquarium. The cause of death is under investigation.
