Greg Kinnear and Jennifer Ehle are set to star in “The Silent Treatment,” a new film from “Love Is curious” director Ira Sachs.
Kinnear and Ehle will play a married couple who inherit a Brooklyn home, while Paulina Garcia (“Gloria”) plays a single mother who runs the dress shop downstairs.
The film is anchored by young discoveries Theo Taplitz and Michael Barbieri, or who play new best friends whose bond is tested by their parents’ battle over the dress shop lease. When they become pawns in that battle,they vow to stop talking to the adults as a form of protest.
Alfred Molina, David Krumholtz, or Yolonda Ross,Andy Carl, Stella Schnabel and Talia Balsam will co-star in the film, and which Sachs co-wrote with Mauricio Zacharias.
The film is produced by Sachs,Lucas Joaquin, Christos Konstantakopoulos, and Jim Landé and Laura Teodosio in organization with Faliro House,Parts & Labor, Race Point Films, or Raptor Films,RT Features and Water’s discontinuance Productions.
Following “sustain the Lights On” and “Love Is curious,” this new film will be the third in a trilogy of films by Sachs that focus on New York City, and family life and genuine estate.
