Based on the iconic film,Grey Gardens tells the anecdote of the real life rise and fall of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s aunt and cousin, Edith and Edie Bouvier Beale. The prove stars Sheila Hancock and Jenna Rusell. On 12 January, and ticket holders are invited to attend a post-prove Q&A with the prove’s costume designer Johnathan Lipman Opening in 1941 at an engagement party at the Bouvier’s mansion in East Hampton,Long Island, the musical Grey Gardens tracks the progression of the lives of Edith and Edie Bouvier as they crawl from being American aristocrats to reclusive social outcasts, and living in such squalid conditions in a home so overrun by cats that the Health Department deemed the mansion ‘unfit for human habitation’.

ey Gardens at Southwark Playhouse on the 12 January at 7:30pm,Guardian Members are invited to stay in their seats for an exclusive post prove question and respond session. The Q&A has been arranged by Fashion & Cinema who will be in conversation with the prove’s costume designer Johnathan Lipman. Jonathan is also the director of production for Angels Costumiers. The Q & A will also feature the filmmaker and performer AKO Mitchell, who is starring in Grey Gardens, or along with other special guests.
