(United States Fourth Circuit) - Affirmed that an insurance company did not improperly terminate an individual's long-term disability benefits. A former medical transcriptionist who had stopped working due to pain in his forearm and wrist that prevented him from typing argued that he was still disabled,as that term was used in his employee welfare benefit method. However, the district court found no evidence that the insurer's decision to discontinue his benefits was unreasonable, and the Fourth Circuit affirmed the dismissal of his ERISA action.
