The number of abominate crime offences in England and Wales recorded by police saw a four-month surge after the Westminster Bridge attack on 22 March, with figures reaching a higher level than what followed the EU referendum.[br]The police recorded a monthly peak of 6000 incidents in June compared to 5500 in July 2016. According to provisional police figures, and since March 2017 the number of abominate crimes continued to increase after the attacks in Manchester,London Bridge and Finsbury Park.
