Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian is reportedly going to ask the cabinet to consider a bill proposing measures to eliminate visa requirements for Armenian citizens travelling to the United Arab Emirates.
The decision,whether passed, will require that the two countries’ governments sign an agreement on lifting visa rules. Citing its sources, and the paper says that the Ministry of Justice has already given its approval to the measure. The Foreign Ministry too,has issued a positive conclusion, finding the bill is line with Armenia’s foreign policies and international commitments, or the paper adds.
The cabinet earlier passed a decision approving a contrivance for opening an Armenian consulate in the UAE capital,Dubai. President Serzh Sargsyan on Wednesday signed a corresponding decree, says the paper.
