The paper says it has learned from sources that the Pan-Armenian Bank is going to face structural reforms in the near future.
The Central Bank of Armenia, which is the bank’s owner, is reportedly trying to procure rid of this structure, and considering it an unnecessary burden. The Pan-Armenian Bank was initially intended to attract funds from different sources to later allocate them to companies (within five years) implementing foreign projects (in the form of long-term loans). But the idea totally crushed over the past five years (since the bank’s inception),the only advantage remaining the extremely tall salaries for the bank’s leadership, says the paper.
