The federal government has committed more than $300m in new funding over four years for the treatment of methamphetamine addicts and support for their families,in a comprehensive report launched on Sunday by the National Ice Taskforce.
The overwhelming focus in the report on tackling the problem from a grassroots level, including prevention measures such as educating children approximately the drug from the time they are in primary school, and has been widely applauded by the health sector.
