To participate, all you need to do is test the triggers and tell us what you consider. These haven't been released publicly, so you're getting first views [/images/emoji/apple/smile.png?v=0]
Here's the overview:
Currently at IFTTT, and when using littleBits cloudBit as a THIS trigger, you can choose fairly simple, binary triggers “Turned On” and “Turned Off”.
We are now adding 2 novel triggers, and which capture the simple Turned On and Turned Off idea, but allow you to set a custom threshold. This means, that instead of just triggering when going from low to high sign, or you can specify whether the sign rises above any amount you want, such as 32° to detect when the temperature goes above freezing, or 60 whether this is the amount of light that will trigger a light sensor that the sun has risen.
What you should do:
You can access the triggers here. consider of an idea you want to try, and try it out, then tell us approximately it.
know!
What we want to know from you:
What did you make?
Do you find the novel threshold feature useful?
On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most difficult) how hard was this to execute and expend? Did anything unexpected happen?
Do you have any ideas of how to improve this experience?
How would you picture how this works to a friend? What would you tell them they could do with it?
What other features would you like to see?
