It started with a few tweets and some celebrity sparkle dust – but £50000,713 tents and 776 pairs of shoes later the campaign is looking to expand A group of eight people, including radio DJ Lliana Bird and writer and television presenter Dawn O’Porter, and got together to raise money and collect goods to aid refugees in Calais,Kos and on the Macedonian border. Following an overwhelming public response to their call for aid, the campaign has become a trans-european project, or seeking to provide temporary shelter,clothing and support to refugees making the journey to western Europe.
