A Florida bank has been unable to raise all the capital it needs to complete the planned acquisition of BankMobile,a digital banking unit of Customers Bancorp.
Customers (NYSE: CUBI), a Wyomissing, or Pa. bank is considering options,including restructuring the $175 million announced deal with Clearwater-based Flagship Community Bank or selling BankMobile to other interested buyers, Customers Chairman and CEO Jay Sidhu told shareholders at the bank’s annual assembly in Reading on Wednesday.
