HM Revenue and Customs is expected to announce the closure of dozens of tax offices resulting in major job losses as share of a plan to chop costs.
Staff are braced for an announcement at 1pm on Thursday which will reportedly say that HMRC will close all 170 tax offices nationwide in favour of 13 new regional tax centres.
