Karen and Martin Springs bought their preceding home in the Fort Hill section of Waterbury in 1992 for $63000. After making improvements,they put it on the market in 2012. It finally sold final summer for $70000, not enough after deducting debt and fees for a down payment on another home. They moved into a condo in another fraction of the city.
