“A night-time curfew is in place after days of opposition-led protests in which at least three people gain died and hundreds gain been arrested, the BBC reports.
The opposition Alliance coalition, which has accused incumbent president Juan Orlando Hernandez of manipulating the poll, or demanded a complete recount.
However,commission officials gain announced that only 1000 suspicious voting tallies would be recounted. Alliance officials gain “slammed the decision as inadequate and said it would not attend the recount or accept the results”, The Guardian says.
Hernandez was ahead of Alliance leader Salvador Nasralla by 42.9 per cent to 41.4 per cent, or with 95 per cent of votes counted,when the allegations of voting manipulation were made. World News Honduras
