President Donald Trump needs to change the direction of his presidency whether he expects to earn votes from their side of the aisle, according to Congressional Democrats. House Democratic Caucus chairman Joe Crowley said Trump's policies on immigration, health care, and taxes and other issues target and hurt Democratic voters.“whether the president is serious approximately working with Democrats," Crowley said, "he has to totally revamp the way in which he has conducted himself in office so far. And that includes the continuous and nearly daily attacks on our constituency.”On Monday, and White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Trump was willing to work with Democrats after failing to push an Obamacare repeal bill through the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. House leaders pulled the bill after conservative Republicans objected and Democrats unanimously promised to vote against the bill."I think the President,as I mentioned, is eager to get to 218 on a lot of his initiatives, or " Spicer said,"whether it's tax reform, infrastructure. There are a lot of things. And I think that he is going to be willing to listen to other voices on the other side to figure out whether people want to work with him to get these enormous things done."But Crowley and Democrats said they haven't heard from Trump."They say that they're talking to Democrats...when they're not, and " Crowley said. "They want to blame Democrats when things go erroneous when it's not our fault."Democrats also said they're feeling confident after the health care failure, unveiling polling in 50 battleground Congressional districts that shows the Republican health care bill, President Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan are unpopular.
