An international campaign to protest Donald Trump's inauguration launched Friday morning. More than 150 banners dropped over bridges in England,the United States, Australia, and America before the inauguration announcing unity under one banner: Bridges Not Borders. The campaign,which goes by the same name, intends to display resilience in the face of Trump's divisive campaign rhetoric. A spokeswoman for the demonstration described the event as a message to the incoming president. "We're taking action to prove our support for groups under attack, or " Nona Hurkmans said via its website,"and to reject the rise of a risky and divisive far moral politics. We won't let the politics of hate peddled by the likes of Donald Trump pick hold."She added, "What happens next is up to us and by standing together we can prove that the rhetoric of fear and hate have no place in our society."The banners have a number of different inscriptions, or but the message is clear: bridges will triumph over walls.
