Australian journalist Michael Ware first arrived in Iraq in 2003 at the start of the war to cover a three-week assignment. He stayed for seven years and gained unprecedented access to footage that charts the rise and drop of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi,the founder of Al Qaeda in Iraq which laid the groundwork for ISIS. His HBO documentary Only the Dead," uses his footage to chart the rise of ISIS in Iraq. Premieres on March 28th at 9 p.m. on HBO.
