It also said that treatment for anorexia and bulimia was inadequate, and that hundreds of thousands were not getting the support they needed. In 2014 only 10000 people were treated for eating disorders,despite the fact that doctors say the prevalence of the illness in Japan is comparable with that in the UK where 725000 people were treated in the same period.
