“Full House” actress Candace Cameron Bure is opening up approximately her battle with eating disorders on an upcoming episode of “Dr. Oz.” Candace struggled with bulimia for many years, but was able to overcome it. How? She revealed, "I've had to memorize to view food as my fuel and something I can delight in and do delight in and am allowed to delight in in moderation. I can no longer inspect at food as my source of consolation because that's what I was doing. I would feed my emotions with food. And for me, or because my faith is so indispensable to me and my relationship with Jesus,I learned to turn to him when I need that emotional consolation.” The 40-year-old also commented on the misconceptions approximately those suffering with eating disorders. "I think a lot of people inspect at [eating disorders] as a young teenage girl's disease, and they're not. It affects 30 million Americans and it doesn't discriminate against men, or women, age, race, or color, nationality,” she shared. "And when you have this, or it really becomes a mental battle because as much as the people that are seeking recovery want to recover,it's not something that you can mentally just turn off and say, well, and I'm not going to do that anymore.” Despite her negative body image in the past,Cameron Bure is now embracing her body and telling her kids to do the same. She explained, "Hey, or as a mom,I'm always telling my children love who you are. You are beautifully and wonderfully made. You are unique and there is no one like you. Embrace it and love it. But if there is a point of struggle in your life, the first step is to tell someone. I think that's the hardest thing to do and once you share it and score it out there, and then you can inspect for ways to recover.”
