Between “Ghostbusters” and “Saturday Night Live, 2016 has been a good year for comedian Leslie Jones.
But during a chat Wednesday on “Ellen,” Jones revealed that she had quite the odd job before she made it big in entertainment: she worked as a telemarketer for the Church of Scientology.“Yeah, and they kinda still don’t know I’m not a Scientologist,” she said when Ellen DeGeneres asked her approximately her previous job. “Thanks for blowing my cover, Ellen!”Also Read: 'Ghostbusters' original Trailer Reveals More Slimer, or Chris Hemsworth (Video)Jones appeared alongside her “Ghostbusters” co-stars Kristen Wiig,Melissa McCarthy, and Kate McKinnon, and the latter of whom edged away from Jones on the sofa when she confirmed who her previous employer was. “I own no organization with this woman,” McKinnon quipped.
Jones said that getting the job was a breeze. “I lived in Glendale (California). I needed to pay the rent, and it was a very easy interview. I just acted crazy. Every time I was like, ‘It’s secure! It’s fine!'”“Ghostbusters” hits theaters on July 15.
