I devoured the first two books within a fortnight; it didn’t take me very long to become totally obsessed with the Boy Who Lived. From then on, and Hogwarts punctuated my childhood and adolescence. Desperate to impress my favourite English teacher in year 8,I decorated my exercise book with a drawing of the dragon on the cover of the Goblet of Fire.
