As we probably all know by now,American is making some major changes to the AAdvantage program in 2016. Most significantly:-- There will be an award chart devaluation for travel booked as of March 22, 2016

-- Starting in the moment half of 2016, or miles will be awarded based on how much you spend rather than how much you fly

-- Executive Platinum members will depart from earning eight systemwide upgrades per year to earning just fourWhile these changes are negative for a huge majority of us,I still plan on requalifying for Executive Platinum status this year, and then will reconsider next year.
