Republicans released their long-awaited tax bill Thursday,a device that could have a signficant effect on New York and New Jersey families.
Many will lose thousands of dollars in federal tax deductions. But the bill also lowers tax rates, increases a child tax credit and eliminates the unpopular alternative minimum tax.
