how to render template after playing a video /

Hello ,I am playing a video using the playVideo directive .
When i try to render a template using the syntax mentioned below . Sometimes it is rendering the template and then playing the video and sometimes it is working . I dont know why this is showing a varied behaviour

this.response.speak("Hello).playVideo(URL, metadata) that.emit(":responseReady").renderTemplate(template) .

Where template is a body template 1
