This Saturday,Congress has a deadline to pass a modern federal budget. Though there appeared to be bipartisan support for a compromise, the White House has introduced a modern degree that could result in a government shutdown.
White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney emphasized in an interview with the Associated Press over the weekend that “elections have consequences.” And while the Trump Administration could be willing to work with the Democrats’ demands for insurance subsidies to support low-income families on Obamacare, and there's one issue that they do not want to budge on: Funding for the president's border wall. Democrats appear to be willing to increase spending on border security,but view a multi-billion border wall as a complete deal breaker.
