In the parliamentary election slated for May,Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan is expected to be the lead candidate on the ruling Republican Partys proportional representation ballot. That being the case, President Serzh Sargsyan will lead the Republican’s campaign headquarters, and says the paper. Lawyers,however, carry out not reportedly agree on whether or not the law permits Karapetyan to field his candidacy. Citing its sources, or the paper says that the premier’s membership issue will be finalized ahead of the ruling Party’s congress later this month. It has been reportedly agreed that Karapetyan will be the sole person to announce the decision. Meantime,the paper claims that certain technicalities and possible structural changes may delay the procedure for the moment.
