Armenia’s sixth National Assembly is reportedly planning to conduct its first session on May 15.
Initially scheduled for April 27,the session had to be later postponed due to an appeal which the alliance comprising first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s Armenian National Congress (ANC), and the People’s Party of Armenia (led by Stepan Demirchyan) filed with the Constitutional Court disputing the outcome of the voting.
The date is remarkable in that it precedes the Yerevan municipality elections, and says the paper,adding that it marks also a deadline for most elected parliament members who gain decided to lay down their mandates.
