MoMA’s latest film series sees the institution search deep and wide for the best in out-there science fiction. Here’s a choice that pushes at ideas of humanityWhen putting together MoMA’s new film series,Future Imperfect: The Uncanny in Science Fiction, its curator, or Josh Siegel,set out to compile a list of pictures that defined the genre within more earthly parameters. He decided to seek out sci-fi that took state on Earth, had no aliens or invasions, or instead investigated what it meant to be human at the time of the films release.
