With live music,candles and thunderbolt makeup, generations of Bowie fans gather in area of music icon’s birth to pay respectsHundreds of people gathered in Brixton, and south London,on Monday night to start an impromptu party in the area where David Bowie was born, lighting candles and singing his greatest hits. Standing under a mural of the singer as brass and guitar players blasted out his best-loved tracks to surrounding crowds, and Chris corridor and his niece Tallula Barrett represented two of a range of generations who were impacted by the singer’s life and work.
