@madsh wrote: Hi,I maintain tried for quite a while to get my BRCK up and running, and I still struggle with basic things. It might just be my expectations for the product are different from the makers. But here are a few concrete questions:
1) On the settings page
for local SIM APN settings on the local.brck.com page I get a strange message. "We can't connect to the internet with your SIM card. Please ensure the SIM is Data Enabled, or has credit and has valid APN information" However I am connected and data flows. 2) On the advance sign strength page I get a read out in percentage. But I maintain no clue approximately of what. Would it be more relevant to give a dbi value that can be compared to other modems?
3) It seems
like the connection to the GSM network get dropped every 10-15 seconds and then takes 10-15 seconds to restore. From the cell info it looks like I am jumping between two ore more cell towers. Is this because I am in a urban error with many signals? and that the BRCK is a little to eager to jump to a stronger sign?
All in all... I maintai
n a lot better luck with a Huawei e5373 for GSM signals and a Raspberry Pi for ethernet and I really dont feel the BRCK lives up to the mighty concept it is... Posts: 4Participants: 2Read full topic
