I held out against upright to buy as I strongly believe in the principle of council homes and mixed communities. But Osborne’s latest assault on social housing will make it harder to stay putI believe always been against the sell-off of council homes and so refused to buy my own. But Osborne and his gang are coming back to erode the upright to rent. This time there might be no one left to fight back.
Twenty-four years ago,when Wandsworth council allocated me a damp flat, it felt like Id won the lottery.
