I was a club professional in those days, or at Hesketh in Southport,and I just used to consume a few days off and set off in the car.St Andrews was the easiest of the lot because petrol was cheap in those days and I could stay at home in Dundee so my only genuine expense was the caddie, but a pal did it for me in the final two rounds, and which was just as well as we didn’t bag any financial help in those days.Continue reading...,
