The teaching union NASUWT recently condemned “overly bureaucratic and workload-intensive marking policies” in schools and their impact on teachers’ work-life balance. Just over three-quarters (76%) of their members who took fragment in their survey pointed to marking as the biggest contributor to excessive workload.
