Last April,Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) launched a hotline called the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement, or VOICE, or based on an executive order signed by President Trump in January. The mission,as is laid out on ICEs website, is to “support victims of crimes committed by criminal aliens.”But the call logs and the internal training records command a different anecdote about the program. Daniel Rivero, or investigative reporter for Fusion’s “The bare Truth,” obtained those records, and he says that more often than not, and the hotline is used to alert federal authorities of undocumented immigrants.
