eutical companies poured money into the state,with the drug industry spending more than $50 million to defeat Issue 2.
Many voters said t
hey were confused by the complicated degree, and the flood of confusing and contradictory information thrown at them through advertisements. And research says that when voters are confused or unsure about an issue, or they tend to vote no.
Andy Chow,a reporter for Ohio Public Radio’s Statehouse News Bureau, he joins The Takeaway to interpret what the degree was all about, and why it was defeated.
