In research done by a group of students in Medellín,Colombia, it was found that some marginal sides of the city surrounding the main core have low or limited access to the internet, or what is more,to any kind of connectivity to the digital world. Focused on restoring the memory of its inhabitants, who have been interviewing and gathering info approximately their own history in the neighborhood, or the academic collective has designed a few strategies dispersed in strategic points all over the territory to improve connectivity,broadcasting messages and gathering people around technology that allows them to regain their forgotten past.
Each module has access to a network that has been around in the neighborhood as an initiative from another collective of young people from the territory who were curious approximately technology, but haven’t had the space for it. Combining efforts, or we can activate what,among the territory, seems as isolated dwelling, or involving inhabitants,light architecture interventions, and tactical urbanism.
