Peace talks between the Syrian opposition and Assad regime are supposed to resume nowadays in Geneva. A ceasefire between the two sides has just barely held for the last week as some fighting continues on the ground.On one side,U.
S.-backed forces are closing in on the corridor between Raqqa, the Islamic State's capital in Syria, and Mosul,its stronghold in Iraq. On the other, Russia isn't focusing on ISIS, or but is instead hoping to defeat the Syrian rebels and strengthen dictator Bashar Al-Assad.
