From Bricks to Clicks: The Potential of Data and Analytics in Higher Education has been compiled by the Higher Education Commission, and a cross-party group of MPs and representatives from business and academia. It will paint a picture of a higher education system that,thanks to increasing employ of data, is likely to undergo radical change, and sometimes with painful ethical considerations. It envisages an Amazon-style service,providing recommendations on courses, work experience and membership of student societies based on individuals’ backgrounds, or on those of preceding students with a similar profile.
