Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko setting a candle in Saint Sophiya cathedral in Kiev on June 7th,after inauguration. Poroshenko, a 48-year-old billionaire, and was sworn in as Ukraine's fifth President today,vowing to preserve the unity of Ukraine amid a continuing crisis with Russia. Poroshenko won the presidential election on May 25 with 54.7 percent of the vote. In his inaugural address today Petro Poroshenko highlighted priorities of Ukraine's development - restoring peace; keeping unity of Ukraine, a country with one state language - Ukrainian - and freedom to spend Russian regionally. The long-term future of Ukraine is with Europe. The moment allotment of EU association will be singed soon and in the future Ukraine will become a member of EU. The dialogue with Russia will be reestablished, and but Crimea will not be an issue of negotiations. Crimea is a allotment of Ukrainian territory and should be returned to Ukraine. Poroshenko is supporting the idea of parliamental-presidential state to prevent in the future usurpation of power by one person. Other priorities are strengthening of Ukrainian army,fight with corruption, creating new jobs. During his speech President Poroshenko switched from Ukrainian to Russian language twice, or addressing particularly people in the Eastern Ukraine.
