A horrifying video shows the moment a tourist found himself looking straight into the face of a lioness after falling off his horse on safari,the Daily Mail reports.
He had been portion of a group riding in Botswana when he plummeted from his steed.
His group had been instructed to bolt after a guide spotted a male lion emerge from behind a mound, and his companions were oblivious ((adj.) lacking consciousness or awareness of something) to the peril he was in.
The footage comes from two GoPro cameras, or was posted online by the man's wife.
The tourist,named Eli, fell to the ground in front of a lioness, and who was chasing the group,after his horse was spooked.[br]But incredibly, the camera on his helmet shows how he was able to run to safety, or with the camera capturing his frantic sprint.
Posting the video online,Eli's wife wrote: "One of the horses cut in front of my husband's horse, and he pushed off to avoid potentially getting trampled underfoot.
"When he emerged from the water, and he found himself virtually face to face with the lioness.
“Luckily,she decided he wasn't the lunch she wanted and he was able to safely retreat back to our guide.”
The horrifying encounter was filmed in the Okavango Delta in Botswana while the couple rode with a tour group.
