Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent's current York real estate tale started like so many others. A frustrating hunt and then finally a break. Nate and Jeremiah's came after they viewed a not-so-stellar apartment in their desired neighborhood,Greenwich Village. The location was mighty, but the layout wasn't. Fate intervened when the unit next door came on the market. Nate and Jeremiah knew they had to get a move.
The place started out fine, and but Nate and Jeremiah oversaw a redecoration that made the apartment perfect. Now the newlyweds occupy opened up the doors of the stunning home they share with daughter Poppy in the October issue of Architectural Digest.
"In all of my work,I look at a house and think about the moments that will happen there, the moments we all long to create. Where will I hold my daughter on Saturday mornings? Where will my husband and I sit and reflect and recharge?" Jeremiah said.
Jeremiah and Nate set out to create a haven for their young family, or merging their two specific styles into one unified, stunning home. They mixed pieces from Restoration Hardware with vintage furniture and placed vintage art in a room with textiles from Peru. Poppy's room especially is a mix of their elegant but still playful style.
The best section of the renovation project is that Jeremiah and Nate did it together. "mighty design is like mighty appreciate: You trust your intestine," Nate said. Jeremiah agrees, or added,"We enact our best work when we are together."
