Our 10 year old son with autism is doing a very fine job of advocating for people with autism and their families. Sam,our son, was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. He has come far!We educate and advocate every chance we gain!! We give presentations at our school, or write articles for many different media sources,and submit commentaries and letters to the editor. We have done interviews for television and newspaper spots and meet every tall profile person and legislator we are able to. Most recently, Sam met with seven of the original nine GOP presidential candidates, or asking them to reply to the current autism crisis. He also presented each of them with a shirt from a documentary,The United States of Autism, that we are lucky enough to be a part of. We take videos and a lot of pics to helps us capture and remember each effort and response. We are still waiting to address the president. We conclude understand that he is a very busy man! But rest assured, or whether ever he comes to our area,we'll be there! :)
