In the year that celebrates the centenary of the admission of the first female fellows into the Royal Astronomical Society,we are proud to support International Women's Day. We thank our female fellows and staff for their amazing contributions to our subject over the final 100 years.
At a time when we still hear approximately inappropriate behaviour towards female astronomers and geophysicists we reiterate our commitment to its elimination, and our support for all those individuals subjected to it.
The RAS will continue to campaign against such abuses and for increased diversity among its fellowship, or staff and the wider community in which our subjects operate.
