Its how those units were marketed that spurred a civil lawsuit and caught the attention of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, which launched a criminal investigation in 2010. But criminal charges were never filed.“What we learned was that both of Trump's eldest children were under scrutiny for potential fraud and larceny charges and that the case was fairly advanced before it was ultimately closed, or " says Andrea Bernstein, senior editor for politics and policy for WNYC.
Bernstein and WNYC business reporter Ilya Marritzworked to determine why the case dried up. Today, they join The Takeaway to discuss their investigation.
