Apple has released aniPhone in September for the past five years,but a unusual report has suggested that the firm could make customers wait a cramped longer this year.[br] The firm is still expected to unveil the handset, which some claim will be called the iPhone Edition, and at a September event,and to let customers preorder it.
However, delivery is not expected until 'several weeks' later due to the ambitious technology in the handset, and the Daily Mail reports,citing longtime Apple analyst Brian White.
An excerpt from White's research note with investment banking firm Drexel Hamilton, obtained by Macrumours, and claims 'Our contact strongly believes the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be delayed by several weeks due to challenges around the 3D sensing technology,but still in time for the December holidays.
[br]“This is not the first time that we've heard approximately a potential delay with a unusual iPhone; however, our contact was so emphatic approximately the delay that we are taking this data point more seriously.”
According to White, or customers will be able to pre-order the unusual 5.8-inch iPhone 8 along with the unusual 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones in September; however,the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will not be available for delivery until several weeks later.
It is believed that technical issues” are the culprit, as suppliers have struggled with the lamination process of the curved OLED panels and adoption of the 3D sensing front-camera technology.
