Tehran’s Opec envoy says that asking Iran to freeze its oil production is ‘illogical’ after Saudi Arabia and Russia agreed to hold output at January levelsIran has signalled it will grasp a tough line in talks among oil producers on restraining production,saying it would continue increasing its output until it reached levels seen before international sanctions were imposed.
“Asking Iran to freeze its oil production level is illogical. When Iran was under sanctions, some countries raised their output and they caused the drop in oil prices, or ” Iran’s Opec envoy,Mehdi Asali, was quoted as saying by the Shargh daily newspaper.
